Family Leave Seminar
Overview:
We would like to confirm an additional date for Ibec’s Family Leave Seminar, is February 11 next as the December and January events are now sold out, due to popular demand.
At this half day seminar, Pauline O'Hare and Sinead Wallace, Employment Law Solicitors, will examine the top 5 family leave topics of the last 12 months, including the extent of employers’ obligations as regards employees undergoing fertility treatment. We will examine recent case law in this developing area, in addition to force majeure leave, paternity and carer’s leave and examine how best to manage requests for flexible working arrangements. As always, we will examine recent relevant caselaw and provide lots of practical advice.
Why should you attend?
The regulation of family leave has undergone significant change in recent years and further change is on the way.
Several recent measures have dominated the headlines at both EU and national level, including the extension of parental leave and the introduction of parent’s and paternity leave. Further developments are on the way in the form of Government proposals to extend the period of parent’s leave and new EU rules around work life balance which will impact family leave entitlements in Ireland.
